Membership relations assistant (100%, 18 months)
The position, to begin as soon as possible or upon agreement, is commissioned on a maximal contract basis of 18 months.
Two thirds of your time will be dedicated to assisting the WLA Communications Department with gathering data for the WLA’s annual data collection exercise (The Compendium), working under the direction of the WLA Research & Communications Manager. This requires you to follow up with WLA lottery members and WLA supplier members to obtain any requested data for The Compendium. Communication with WLA lottery members and WLA supplier members will be via e-mail and telephone in the official languages of the association. In addition, you will be responsible for first-pass quality assurance of the collected data. Other tasks related to the collation and aggregation of the collected data will also form part of your responsibilities.
In the other third of your time, you will be called upon to partake in other member relations management and events duties, according to the needs and requirements of the association working with the Senior Operations Manager, Member Relations.
You are an energetic and well-organized individual who can work independently and yet integrate into a small team. A high proficiency in written and spoken English, Spanish, and French is essential. In particular, you must be able to send and receive e-mail communications and conduct telephone conversations across all three languages with ease. Proficiency in any other languages, particularly Chinese and/or Japanese, is a distinct advantage. You should be precise, meticulous, accurate, and with a good eye for detail. A background in science, economics, or some other numerate discipline would be viewed favorably. The position would suit a new graduate seeking a first professional experience working on a full-time basis for the 18 month period. Please note that this is not a sponsored position; applicants must have the right to work in Switzerland.

We offer you interesting international contacts and the opportunity to use your language skills on a daily basis, in the setting of a professional environment with high ethical standards.
